Seminar Tip # 8 – Meet People! Network!

Seminars are a great venue to get to meet a number of interesting like-minded people. Make contacts and exchanging email addresses or other contact information. You might meet someone who shares the same passions for life as you or a future colleague who you may want to conduct business with. At the very least you could make some new friends.

Bring plenty of business cards. You will be giving many business cards away and receiving a lot more, too. When you receive cards, immediately write on them a note about the person you talked to and any follow-up you want to do with them. When you get home, all those business cards will be in a jumbled mess and will all look the same unless you have something noted on them to remind you of the conversation you had.
