Seminar Tip # 2 – Know Your Purpose!

Many seminar attendees suffer from information overload. Presenters cover a wide range of topics, of which not all will be relevant to you. All too often you hear people say that they are overwhelmed with the amount of information they are getting and that they have no idea where to begin.

Know why you are attending the seminar. Clearly identifying your purpose and what you hope to learn from the seminar. This will enable you to better cipher though the information provided and take those points that apply to you. Here are a couple of ways to manage the information you receive so you can implement what you have learnt.

List the top 3 to 5 reasons why you are investing your time and money into the seminar and the areas in your life you are looking to apply the new-found knowledge. This will help you to become more focused and enables you to zoom into the specific topics you are especially interested in. Whatever your purpose, know it well!
